Real World Performance

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder powers through everyday tasks thanks to its 3.5-liter DOHC direct-injected V6 engine. Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, the dynamic duo churns out an impressive 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque. The Rock Creek trim turns up the fun by pumping up the engine output, resulting in a not-so-modest bump to 295 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. That should pair well with the Rock Creek’s off-road-tuned suspension. Other Pathfinder trims share a suspension that’s tuned towards providing superb on-road comfort and confidence-inspiring handling when demanded.

Among the 2025 Pathfinder’s seven available Drive and Terrain Modes including a Tow Mode with Downhill Speed Control, perfect for flexing the family SUV’s 6,000-pound maximum towing capacity, when properly equipped. The other drive assist modes help you get through snow, sand, rain, and gravel without missing a beat. Nissan’s Intelligent 4x4 system comes optional on all trims save for the Rock Creek, which makes it a mandatory option.
