SCHEDULE A TEST DRIVE

Overview

For the 2020 model year, the Nissan Versa got a complete makeover. The interior and the exterior of the 2020 Versa have been totally redesigned to bring a fresh look to the enduring reliability of the Nissan brand. The Versa is available in three trim levels: the S starting at $14,730*, the SV starting at $17,640*, and the SR starting at $18,240*. While the Versa may be one of the brand's more economical options, that doesn't mean that Nissan has foregone its stylish design and luxe interior. You'll find comfortable seating, soft-touch materials, and available LED lighting that makes the Versa a great value choice for consumers.

The Perfect Ride For...

City drivers. If you shy away from hulking SUVs and full-size sedans, you'll find that the Versa is just the right size. The small but mighty Nissan Versa is compact enough to fit into tight spaces while maintaining interior real estate that leaves the driver and passengers feeling comfortable. You won't feel cramped, despite its smaller size and you'll benefit from the amazing fuel economy you get with a smaller car. Modern drivers will also appreciate the Versa's new look and modern technology features, which make every drive seem a little less stressful.

Driving & Handling

All three models of the Versa come with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 122 hp and 114 lb-ft of torque.  The S, the SV, and the SR, are all complemented by an Xtronic transmission which is lighter to provide a better fuel economy. The S model also offers a 5-speed manual transmission option. The Versa engine was designed with fuel economy in mind, as engines with Xtronic transmissions offer a combined 35 mpg**, with 32 mpg in the city** and 40 mpg** on the highway. While the S model with its 5-speed manual transmission achieves a fuel economy of a combined 30 mpg**, with 27 mpg in the city** and 35 mpg on the highway**.

Since the Nissan Versa is such a small vehicle, it doesn't need much help when it comes to handling. Its size alone helps the Versa manage curves with ease. However, Nissan added Vehicle Dynamic Control and Traction Control to help with smooth power and brake applications in slippery conditions.

Key Features

Technology

No Nissan model would be complete without cutting-edge technology and the Versa is no different. To make those daily commutes easier, and more fun Nissan added a litany of features that are impressive by any standard. For navigational and entertainment convenience, all models are equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen display. The SV and SR models include NissanConnect, which allows for Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Siri Eyes Free™ also comes standard on all three Versa models, which allows for voice command control so your eyes never have to leave the road.

Safety Shield 360

Distracted city driving and commuting is one of the largest contributing factors to accidents, but Nissan is keen on offsetting those risks with some amazing safety technology. You'll find that the SV and SR models are equipped with Safety Shield 360. Safety Shield 360 is a complete driver assistance suite which includes: Lane Departure Warning, Rear Automatic Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The S model offers a similar version of Safety Shield 360, with the exception of Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Warning, so no matter which trim you choose, Nissan is looking out for you.
