Drive & Handling
One of the most important qualities of a good crossover is power. That power is needed to adapt to any challenge, both on high-speed freeways and on curving country roads. The Rogue’s 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine produces up to 170 hp (so it can haul on the highway) and up to 175 lb-ft of torque (so it can move up the mountains).
Nissan also adds standard performance features to improve on this power, including hill start assist, brake assist, vehicle-speed-sensitive electric power steering, and active ride control. For additional performance, buyers can upgrade to all-wheel drive or even larger 18- or 19-inch wheels.
Finally, Nissan has added cutting-edge tech to improve fuel efficiency, including two modes of driving (Eco and Sport) as well as Xtronic® CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with Sport Mode Shifter, which maintains a specific RPM relevant to whatever the Rogue is doing, whether it’s passing a slower car or maintaining speed on the open road.

Storage tech
In the 2020 Rogue, versatility also shows up on the inside. Thanks to its innovative ways of storing just about anything, the Rogue can seat five comfortably in two rows of seating, and when extra space is needed, the 2nd row can fold down for easy access to the rear cargo area. More than that, the EZ FLEX® Seating System can slide the 2nd row back or forward for quick access or more leg room. Plus, the Rogue’s standard Nissan Divide-N-Hide® Cargo System offers 18 different configurations for compartments in the rear cargo area, using concealable lower compartments and stackable shelves.

Safety tech
Nissan engineers have packed tons of tech features into the Rogue’s compact frame, especially when it comes to safety. The available Nissan Intelligent Mobility system uses an arsenal of sensors to actually see other cars and potential hazards on the road. Blind Spot Warning can see other vehicles in the next lane, and it will sound an alarm if the driver activates the turn signal when it senses a potential collision. The Rear Cross Traffic Alert does the same thing when the Rogue is backing out of a parking space if it senses an oncoming vehicle or pedestrian. Looking ahead, the sensors can detect obstacles in front of the vehicle, even stopping the vehicle to avoid a collision using Automatic Emergency Braking or maintaining a pre-set distance with the car ahead using Intelligent Cruise Control.
