Overview
It's hard to talk about the Nissan Murano without addressing its serious style. The 2020 Nissan Murano is, simply put, a good-looking crossover that will have you beaming with pride no matter where your travels take you. Nissan decided to give the Murano a new look inside and out for the new year and it’s more appealing than ever. Thankfully, though, the Murano is more than mere eye-candy—it's also a confident and capable crossover SUV that returns excellent fuel economy and is brimming with the latest tech features.
The Perfect Ride for...
Anyone looking for a stylish crossover SUV that is flashy, fun, and fuel-efficient. The Murano offers an unprecedented level of comfort and refinement and pushes the envelope in regard to what a crossover SUV can and should do. The 2020 Nissan Murano starts at $33,130,* and is available in four trims: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.
Drive & Handling
The 2020 Nissan Murano is powered by a 3.5-liter engine that serves up 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. A continuously variable intelligent Xtronic® transmission means virtually instant acceleration and gearless shifting, all while sending power to all four wheels. That all-wheel drive is available should you desire that extra level of surety on slippery roads.
While the Murano's engine and transmission combination deserves a lot of praise, there are a number of areas that Nissan has addressed to ensure the Murano always delivers a stellar driving experience. Indeed, the 2020 Murano boasts intelligent aerodynamics, weight reduction, and a drag coefficient comparable to a few sports cars, giving it some impressive moves.
Of course, a modern crossover SUV’s worth is judged as much on its efficiency as it is its style. Thankfully, the 2020 Murano returns an impressive 20/28 city/highway mpg.**
Key Features
Technology by trim levels
Despite such an agreeable starting price, S models come well-stocked with a wide array of features. Standard niceties include 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels; dual-zone automatic climate control; and audio streaming via Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay™, or Android Auto™.
Also standard (and sure to appeal to tech enthusiasts) is Nissan Intelligent Key® with push-button ignition, and an Advanced Drive-Assist® Display. The former allows you to unlock the trunk or door handle to them so long as the key's in your pocket or purse, while the latter displays vital driving information, such as available turn-by-turn navigation, caller ID, or other safety features.
Stepping up to the SV includes all previously mentioned content (where applicable) and adds a number of extra features, such as a 10-way power driver’s seat, a remote engine start system, and a wealth of safety features.
For an added dose of refinement, SL models upgrade to leather-appointed heated front seats; also added to the mix is a dynamic 360-degree Around View® monitor as well as a Bose® premium audio system. SL models also have Nissan Door to Door Navigation with Premium Traffic, so you’re never caught off guard when you’re on the road.
And finally, the crème-de-la-crème Murano Platinum builds upon all previous trim levels and gets 20-inch machine-finished aluminum-alloy wheels, Semi-Aniline leather-appointed seats, panoramic sunroof, and heated and cooled front seats.
