Overview

Nissan calls the 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport its "mini crossover." You’ll notice that it looks very similar to the Rogue, though it’s a foot shorter lengthwise and about six inches shorter in height. However, despite its more diminutive stature, it still has plenty of storage space and surprisingly ample legroom.

The Rogue Sport starts at $22,110, which is an exceedingly competitive price considering the wide array of standard features that are included.* A 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine provides plenty of power to fulfill all your driving needs.

The Perfect Ride for…

The budget-conscious car buyer who wouldn’t normally seek out an SUV but still loves the look of the larger Rogue. The size of the Rogue Sport perfectly lends itself to urban driving where tight parking spots and sharp corners are the norm.

Drive & Handling

All models come with a 2.0-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder Direct Injection Gasoline System engine that produces a respectable 141 horsepower and 147 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with Nissan's XTronic continuously variable automatic transmission® (CVT) that can power either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The front-wheel-drive version gets an enviable fuel economy of 32 mpg on the highway and 25 mpg in the city, while the all-wheel-drive version gets an EPA-estimated 30 mpg city and 24 mpg highway.**

The wheelbase on the Rogue Sport is 2.3 inches shorter and the overall length is about a foot shorter than the larger Rogue. This translates to increased maneuverability for city driving and an easier time dealing with that dreaded downtown parking.

Key Features

Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection

Backing up and parking can be difficult in an SUV—especially in the city—which is why Nissan developed the available Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection. This innovative system provides the 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport with four cameras, giving you a 360-degree view of your surroundings. Additionally, it will alert you if something moves behind you while reversing.

Nissan Intelligent Safety Shield technologies

The Rogue Sport has an assortment of available safety features that are designed to look out for you and others on the road. These features include forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure prevention, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Alternative Options

If you’re not looking for a budget-friendly mini crossover SUV, Nissan offers many other options that are sure to fit your needs. The 2018 Nissan TITAN is a powerful and capable truck that can hold up under any conditions. If green is your thing, the 2018 Nissan Versa® Sedan is a uniquely stylish and incredibly efficient compact sedan.
