What's New?

Nissan gave the Pathfinder a few nifty upgrades for this model year, including a Midnight Edition, new exterior paint color options, and a slew of awesome standard features like Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and an all-new Rear Door Alert (RDA) system.

Overview

The Nissan Pathfinder has earned quite the reputation among experts and owners alike. If you're searching for an SUV that's not too bulky to drive but that also has enough space to make it versatile, look no further than 2018 Nissan Pathfinder.

The 2018 Pathfinder comes as a three-row, seven-passenger SUV with your choice of 2WD and 4WD. Four trim levels are available with a price starting at a reasonable $30,790.* The standard Pathfinder is equipped with tri-zone climate control, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED running lights, a rearview camera, keyless ignition/entry, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a six-speaker stereo system, which includes a six-disc CD changer, and Bluetooth® connectivity.

The Perfect Ride for…

Those looking for an SUV that can handle adventures as easily as trips to the grocery store. As a spacious, safe SUV, the 2018 Pathfinder is equipped to take pretty much whatever life throws your way, whether that's camping gear for a night under the stars or hauling the kids (and all their stuff) to soccer practice.

Drive & Handling

Power for all 2018 Nissan Pathfinder models comes from a 3.5-liter V6 engine, one that delivers 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque when paired to Nissan's third-generation Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission® (CVT). The EPA rates the Pathfinder's fuel economy at 23 mpg combined (20 mpg city / 27 mpg highway) for 2WD models and 22 mpg combined (19 mpg city / 26 mpg highway) for 4WD models.**

As far as handling is concerned, Nissan has outfitted the 2018 Pathfinder with a wide variety of features to keep drivers in control and comfortable, no matter where they roam, from a 4-wheel independent suspension to rebound springs on the front struts to a carefully designed hydraulic electric steering system.

Key Features

Rear Door Alert

Designed by a pair of Nissan engineers and mothers, the innovative Rear Door Alert system is designed to help drivers remember to check their back seats for anything they may have forgotten. The system works by keeping track of the rear doors of the vehicle, and if it notices that the driver opened it at the start of the trip but didn't open it at the end of the trip, it will begin a series of notifications designed to alert the driver to this fact, starting with a display in the instrument panel and ending with distinct chirps from the horn.

NissanConnect℠ with Navigation and Mobile Apps

Tech-minded drivers will appreciate available innovative features in the NissanConnect℠ system like hands-free phone capability, streaming audio, an 8.0-inch color display, SiriusXM® Traffic and SiriusXM® Travel Link®, and enhanced Voice Recognition. Designed to reduce distractions, the NissanConnect℠ system helps make every drive effortless. It will point you where you need to go and keep you connected the whole way there.

Alternative Options

If you're looking for an SUV that's just a touch smaller, the Nissan Rogue® may be the perfect fit. This crossover offers generous interior space, a few engine options (including a hybrid version), and restrained styling that is both modern and timeless. For a compact car with a more sustainable footprint, you can opt for the all-electric Nissan LEAF®, meaning no more gas station fill-ups. (Talk about budget-friendly!) This smaller model is reliable, stylish, comfortable, and easy to maneuver around tight spots.
